How we work

At CBA Saskatchewan, we carry out the vision and mission of the Canadian Bar Association in Saskatchewan.

A team gathered in a meeting room and having a discussion.

CBA Saskatchewan is governed by our branch bylaws and policies along with the bylaws of the CBA. Led by our President, our Board of Directors is made up of eight members responsible for advancing the work of the Saskatchewan branch. They ensure the necessary resources for branch operations, and oversee the outcomes of our advocacy, programs and activities.

Provincial Council provides a forum for CBA Saskatchewan leaders to learn, inform and promote the work of the CBA in Saskatchewan. Council meets twice a year and one of its priorities is to raise the interests and concerns of members of the branch.

Our Executive Director leads CBA Saskatchewan operations and manages our team to support and serve our members.

National Governance

Our national association is governed by a President, supported by a 15-member Board of Directors. The National Board represents the diversity of Canada’s legal profession, including practice types, experience, skills, geography and more. All provinces and territories have a seat at the table.

Each member serves a two-year term. Board member terms are staggered so only some of the Board change each year.
