The Distinguished Service Award recognizes contributions and/or achievements by members of the Saskatchewan Branch to the legal profession, the law or development of the law. Significant law-related achievements for the benefit of residents of Saskatchewan are also considered.
Eligibility
• Must be a member of the CBA.
• Must be a resident of Saskatchewan
• Must have made exceptional contributions involving a significant lawrelated achievement or to the legal profession, the law, or the development of the law.
• Exhibited the highest standards of professional conduct and competence.
Nomination Procedure
The nomination must include the following:
• A completed Nomination Form including the nominator, the support of two (2) CBA Members and the Nominee’s Consent.
• A letter stating the reasons for the candidate’s nomination including a description of the exemplary performance, the time frame involved and the impact.
• Letters of support if available.
Presentation
• The recipient will be presented with a sculpture at an Awards Ceremony.
• The recipient will identify a person to present their accomplishments and introduce the recipient at the Awards Ceremony.

NOVEMBER 15, 2023
Selection Process
• Nominations must be received by November 15.
• Selection made by CBA Saskatchewan Awards Committee.
• Nominations are valid for two years.
• The number of Awards to be presented annually will not exceed two.
• The Awards Committee retains the right to not present the Award in any given year.
• Members of the current Board of Directors or current members of the National Board are not eligible.
• Except under extraordinary circumstances, former Board members of the Branch and of the National Board are not eligible for a period of three (3) years from the date that their service ended.
