Truth & Reconciliation Action Plan

We are actively engaged in an ongoing review of our organizational policies and bylaws to align them with the principles and directives outlined in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) 94 Calls to Action. This commitment reflects our dedication to fostering meaningful reconciliation and addressing systemic inequities, with a focus on creating an inclusive and equitable environment within our sphere of influence. Through this process, we aim to ensure that our policies reflect the values of respect, collaboration, and understanding, particularly in relation to Indigenous peoples and communities.

In addition, we remain committed to providing professional development opportunities that support this critical work. Our Mid-Winter Conference and Section presentations serve as platforms for these initiatives, offering relevant training, resources, and discussions to enhance understanding, build cultural competency, and equip participants with practical tools for implementing reconciliation efforts. These sessions are designed to inspire actionable change, encourage respectful dialogue, and foster stronger relationships with Indigenous communities.

By integrating the TRC’s Calls to Action into both our organizational framework and professional development opportunities, we strive to play an active role in the journey toward reconciliation and the creation of a more just and inclusive society.
