MAXIMIZE MEMBERSHIP REWARDS

Now members have greater choice, value and up front savings. You can opt to maximize the value of your CBA membership by upgrading to Portfolio or Portfolio Plus. Purchasing these popular packages lets you access CBA professional development, Sections enrolment, rebate rewards and other CBA products, services and activities for much less than if purchased separately.

You must be a CBA member to experience the benefits of Portfolio or Portfolio Plus. Either option may be purchased at any time during your membership year, but will be effective between September 1 and August 31. Or you can simply renew your CBA membership as you did before, without choosing either option.

Portfolio option

The Portfolio option includes all the benefits enjoyed by members, plus:

• A $250 education credit at a 20% discount (save $50.00) that can be applied to education products, services and activities from CBA National, CBA Branches and Canadian Corporate Counsel Association (CCCA) for the designated membership year. These include such offers as: in-person and online professional development, Sections enrolment fees (where applicable), print and video material, legal directories, mid-winter meetings, conferences and more. All education credits must be used between September 1 and August 31 of the membership year for which they were purchased.
• Section enrolment. The number and level of included Sections depends on your provincial or territorial branch offering. At the portfolio rate, one “Notice-Only” section is included with your membership.
• A rebate off next year’s membership fee invoice, equivalent to 3% of your total spend from the previous year outside of membership fees and option purchased. CBA Rebate Rewards are calculated only on eligible products and services that are purchased beyond the $250.00 education credit.
• Access to many additional CBA resources, including special publications and tools.

Portfolio Plus option

The Portfolio Plus option includes all the benefits enjoyed by members, plus:

• A $500 education credit at a 20% discount (save $100) that can be applied to education products, services and activities from CBA National, CBA Branches and Canadian Corporate Counsel Association (CCCA) for the designated membership year. These include such offers as: in-person and online professional development, Sections enrolment fees (for 3 “Notice-Only” sections, print and video material, legal directories, mid-winter meetings, conferences and more.  All education credits must be used between September 1 and August 31 of the membership year for which they were purchased.

• More Section enrolments than the Portfolio option. The number and level of included Sections depends on your provincial or territorial branch offering. At the Portfolio-Plus rate, 3 “Notice-Only” sections are included with your membership
• A rebate off next year’s membership fee invoice, equivalent to 5% of your total spend from the previous year outside of membership fees and option purchased. CBA Rebate Rewards are calculated only on eligible products and services that are purchased beyond the $500.00 education credit.
• Increased access to many additional CBA resources, including special publications and tools.

How to purchase the Portfolio and Portfolio Plus options

• Through your membership renewal invoice – Your annual renewal invoice will include pricing and a detailed description of the option customized by your branch.
• When joining online – Lapsed, returning, and new CBA members will find the Portfolio and Portfolio Plus options – customized by branch – included in the online application form for regular CBA membership.
• When renewing online – If you’re renewing online, you will have the capability to add one of the options if desired. If you’re an active member not up for renewal, you can visit the page at any time to purchase one of the options.
