Proposed Fee Waiver Legislation

CBA Saskatchewan was invited to provide comments on the Consultation Paper for the Proposed Fee Waiver Legislation. After canvassing the membership for comments on the paper, the 2014-2015 President responded to the consultation request on behalf of the Branch.

The Saskatchewan Farm Security Act

CBA Saskatchewan was invited to consult on The Saskatchewan Farm Security Act. The intent of the consultation process was to gather feedback from farmers, ranchers, business investors, and other interested parties on farmland ownership provisions in Saskatchewan. After consulting the membership for comments on the Act, the Branch Legislation & Law Reform Chair followed up with the Ministry of Justice to advise them that CBA Saskatchewan had no formal submission to make.

Small Claims Review Project

CBA Saskatchewan was invited to provide comments on the Consultation Paper for the Small Claims Review Project. After canvassing the membership for comments on the paper, the 2014-2015 President responded to the consultation request on behalf of the Branch.

The Operation of Public Registry Statues Act

CBA Saskatchewan developed a working group to provided comments on The Operation of Public Registry Statues Act. Working group members included Clayton Barry, Mike Russell, Eric Johnson and David Gereke. On behalf of the Branch, their comments were provided to the Ministry of Justice.

The Business Corporation Act - Stock Dividend Freeze

CBA Saskatchewan asked the Ministry of Justice to consider a legislative amendment with respect to The Business Corporations Act. After canvassing the membership for additional comments on the Act, the 2012-2013 President responded on behalf of the Branch.
